First Visit

in Greenville, NC

Your first visit is an important step toward improving your oral health. During your consultation, Dr. Murray will take the time to understand your concerns, evaluate your condition, and explain your diagnosis and treatment options in detail.

If surgery is being considered, a comprehensive consultation and physical examination are required before treatment to confirm that the procedure can be performed safely and effectively.

What Happens During Your First Visit?

Your appointment typically includes a review of your medical and dental history, a thorough examination, and any necessary imaging. Based on these findings, Dr. Murray will discuss your diagnosis, answer your questions, and recommend a personalized treatment plan.

To help us provide the best possible care, please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your referral slip, if provided by your dentist or physician
  • Any recent X-rays or imaging, if available
  • A list of all medications you're currently taking
  • Your dental or medical insurance information, if applicable
  • A valid photo ID

If your dentist has already taken X-rays, you may ask their office to send them to us before your appointment. If additional imaging is needed, it can be completed in our office.

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the consultation.

Please let our team know before your appointment if you have any medical conditions, allergies, or take medications that could affect your treatment, such as blood thinners, heart medications, or medications for diabetes or high blood pressure.
